Data from Norwegian Municipalities

Open data from Norwegian municipalities can be found in various catalogues, such as portals provided by the municipalities themselves, the Geonorge portal and Felles datakatalog. The following table gives some examples from the ten largest municipalities in Norway.

Unfortunately, available open data is still sparse from most municipalities. Also, the data that is available is not always registered in catalogues or the availablity of catalogues has not been well announced. The locations that are empty in the table indicate that no data is available for the municipality from the indicated source, or that no other source for the municipality has been found.

Until now, there has also been little coordination between the municipalities on what and how to publish. One exception to this is the coordinated publication of list of schools and their yearly schedule.
